AGING ROUNDTABLE | Can We Reduce Our Risk of Dementia?
Update: This Roundtable has been rescheduled for Monday, November 2 at 4:00 PM Pacific. We hope to see you there.
Is dementia simply an inevitable risk of growing older—or are there things we can do to reduce our chances of developing cognitive impairment?
Join me for an interactive Living to 100 Roundtable exploring what current research tells us about modifiable dementia risk factors.
We’ll look at the roles of:
Cardiovascular health and exercise
Hearing and vision
Social connection and depression
Diabetes, smoking, and alcohol use
Diet, lifelong learning, and other factors that may influence brain health
We’ll also discuss an important shift in dementia-prevention research: rather than focusing on one risk factor at a time, the greatest benefit may come from improving several areas of health and lifestyle together.
Come with your questions, experiences, and opinions. This is a Roundtable, so the conversation is just as important as the presentation.
What questions or experiences would you like us to bring into the conversation?
